  • Yes. LuxCraft HDPE poly is non-porous and does not absorb water, salt, chlorine, sunscreen, or pool chemicals. The 316 stainless steel hardware is corrosion-resistant and rated for marine use, so the chair will not rust at coastal homes or near pools. LuxCraft Classic Side Chairs are commonly used at oceanfront properties and around saltwater pools.

  • Same purpose (no-arm outdoor dining chair across three heights), different styling. The Adirondack Side Chair has a contoured slat back and slightly relaxed dining angle for a casual, traditional look. The Classic Side Chair has a vertical-slat back and upright dining posture for a more formal, design-neutral look that mixes with any patio aesthetic. Both are 19" seat width with matching seat heights at each variant.

  • The LuxCraft Classic Side Chair has a published weight capacity of 225 lbs. The chair is sturdy and stable for typical adult use. For guests above 225 lbs, the Adirondack Arm Chair (heavier construction) or Urban Arm Chair (rated to 325 lbs) is a better choice — same dining-set compatibility, higher capacity.

  • The 21" chair width is compact. Fit: 4 chairs at a 41" Square Table, 6 chairs at a 4' Round, 6-8 along the sides of a 4'x6' Rectangular or Oval, 2-4 at a 30" Bistro. Side chairs without arms tuck closer to the table than arm chairs and pack more efficiently per linear foot of table perimeter.

  • No — HDPE poly is softer than hardwood and does not scratch deck surfaces in normal use. The chair will not slide silently across a deck either (there is light friction between poly and wood, which helps the chair stay in place). For added protection against any wear, felt or rubber chair-foot pads are available at any hardware store, though most LuxCraft customers do not use them.
